What is Tero?
Tero is a private, GDPR-native legal AI workspace for European law firms and in-house teams. It brings together a cited legal Assistant, bulk tabular contract review, an end-to-end encrypted document vault, and the Expert Panel — all running inside the EU.

Tero is built for European law firms, boutiques and in-house legal teams — enterprise-grade AI agents without an enterprise rollout.
Is Tero GDPR-compliant?
Tero is GDPR-native by design. Documents are end-to-end encrypted with AES-256 client-side before they reach Tero, stored only as ciphertext that is sealed even from our own staff, and all matter data and AI processing stay within the EU/EEA. Tero never uses your data to train any model.
What does “GDPR-native” mean?
GDPR-native means data protection is built into the architecture rather than bolted on afterwards: client-side encryption, EU-only processing and storage, and never training on your data are defaults, not add-ons.
How does Tero keep my documents secure?
Documents are encrypted client-side with AES-256 before they reach Tero and stored only as ciphertext — sealed even from Tero staff. TLS protects the connection in transit, but your data stays encrypted even from us.
Where is my data stored and processed?
All of your matter data and AI processing run exclusively within EU regions. No personal data leaves the EU/EEA in connection with your use of Tero.
Does Tero train AI on my data?
No. Your content is processed for your query alone, is not retained beyond the session, and is never used to train any foundation model.
Does Tero support Danish law?
Yes. The Tero Assistant grounds its answers in primary Danish and EU law — including Retsinformation and Domsdatabasen — with every statement linked back to its source, so nothing rests on guesswork.
What is the Expert Panel?
Expert Panel is a multi-agent workflow: an AI Senior Legal Advisor researches your question, assembles a panel of specialist AI junior advisors, has them work in parallel and then debate, and sends back one cited conclusion — and you can watch every step.
Can Tero review many contracts at once?
Yes. Define the clauses you care about and Tero reads every document in parallel, returning a colour-coded table you can export to Excel in a single click.
Does Tero replace lawyers?
No. Tero assists rather than replaces legal judgment — it frees up time so you can exercise better judgment. AI output is for research and assistance, and every cited source should be verified before you rely on it.
What makes Tero different?
